The hospital is privately owned and will operate as a Long Term Acute Care Hospital.
APEX Hospital specializes in providing comprehensive services to medically complex patients, including intensive care, pulmonary management, telemetry/cardiac monitoring, wound care, and rehabilitation. We strive to return each patient to the most independent lifestyle possible.

In January, 2007 APEX Hospital applied for licensure to operate a 103 bed acute care facility. The hospital will have all private rooms; initially include a seven bed ICU, Procedure Room, Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology-Xray.
In a Long Term Acute Care setting, a specialized level of clinical care is typically required in comparison to the short term hospital. Each patient is admitted under the care of an attending physician. Board-Certified Specialty Physicians, such as Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, Nephrologists, Surgeons, and Infectious Disease doctors are available for consultation.
At APEX we understand that every patient has individual needs. A personalized plan of care is developed through an interdisciplinary team approach, treating the individualized needs of every patient. The patient’s family is encouraged to participate and kept informed of the treatment plan and goals.
APEX Hospital-Katy referrals may be received by healthcare professionals, family or friends. Once an order is received from your physician, an on-site assessment will be performed by a clinical liaison/nurse within two hours. We encourage families to tour our Hospital and ask any questions they may have concerning our services.
